Wordless Picture Book: A Ball for Daisy

Title: A Ball for Daisy
Author: Chris Raschka
Publisher: Schwartz and Wade
Publication: May 10, 2011
ISBN: 978-0375858611

Reading this wordless picture book was very different from the other one, because this book had a message to the story. The story is able to show different kinds of emotions through the illustrations and what the plot is all about. Daisy is the main character in the book and after the orange ball is lost, and another dog gets the ball, it shows how a friendship is formed because they are able to share this ball.

I would recommend this book for children to read because this is all about an important message of sharing something and also forming friendships. It is a very cute book and the illustrations in the book do a great job of telling the story without using words, which is very important.

Wordless Picture Book: Beaver is Lost

Title: Beaver is Lost
Author: Elisha Cooper
Publisher: Dragonfly Books
Publication: November 26, 2013
ISBN: 978-035386524

In this wordless picture book, the main character is Beaver! Poor Beaver gets lost and separated from his family and  he is struggling to find his way back home to his family. However, during this book Beaver encounters many other animals and sees new things too. He gets to go to the zoo, chased by a dog, and goes into the busy city as well. This wordless picture is great with showing the reader beautiful illustrations for this story to help to see Beaver's journey of getting home.

After reading this wordless picture book, I would recommend reading this book to any child for bedtime stories, in the classroom or just with their siblings as well. It allows you to see different experiences Beaver goes through to get back to his family, and the illustrations are amazing too!
